History

Standing Rides:
 
SATURDAY - We are in our normal April  through December schedule, with a particular destination most every Saturday morning.  See Current Ride Schedule
 
 
Note - the Monday thru Thursday rides occur during the months April thru October. 
MONDAY - mountain training ride climbs to Sewanee, drops back off the mountain toward Sherwood, and then turns right around and returns over same route. Early in the season, they might just to to Sewanee. Whew! Meet at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic church on Alto Hwy (old hwy, not new 50) at 4:30
 
Our TUESDAY beginner and recreational ride starts at 5:30  ( 5:00 in October) and is usually are about 10-14 miles in length. The purpose of this is ride is to have fun- not to go far and fast. We stick together. 
 
Also, for those in serious training for racing, triathlons, etc., WEDNESDAY evening is the weekly 19-mile time trial. Meet at the Staggerwing Museum on hwy 130 at 5:30.

The Thursday after-work ride also starts at 5:30 ( 5:00 in October) and is typically 20 miles or so - at 16-20 mph.

Our annual century ride is the Elk River Valley ( ERV) 100

The club newsletter is published quarterly. If you have not been receiving occasional email on club matters and you do have an internet account, please send your email address to Stu at (stuart_coulter_at_hotmail.com ..replace _at_ with @) . This newsletter will be sent to those with email accounts.

We need stories.  Please spend some time and write a little blurb about any interesting rides you have been on.  Also, we appreciate your pictures.
