![]() This is a listing of Tennessee State Laws, from the Tennessee Code Annotated, that relate to issues that affect cyclists. While cyclists generally are respected on the road, it is unfortunate that, occasionally, cyclists are mistreated or endangered by others on the road and/or animal owners. A review of the following pages will show that most/all such acts are a violation of state law. The state laws also call out responsibilities of cyclists. All of what is presented here is available in the Manchester and Tullahoma library, and presumably most any TN public library. This is just a small sample of the many laws that affect cyclists. I encourage everybody ( cyclists, drivers and dog owners) to go and review these laws. (Italics & highlights mine, and dollar sign has been substituted for legal symbol) |
